CHRISTMAS IS coming – and another two weeks off school for kids large and small. But if your littles are enchanted with lego, why not enter their Christmas competition? The prize is a party for ten legoists at the nearest Lego shop.

We don’t seem to have a Lego store in Tower Hamlets, but there is one in Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, so if your little were lucky enough to win the competition they would be in easy reach of their winner’s party.

If you are one of the brave people who venture into the Westfield Shopping Centre, the advantage of Lego as a Christmas present is that there are kits and bits for all ages and in very many different sizes – and, therefore, prices. Yes, you could spend a handsome sum on a large, whizzy kit – but you could also pick up small kits at very reasonable prices, which will still give your little hours of fun.

Lego is a toy which dads can play with, with sons and daughters alike. Grandparents can join in too. And when the children have gone to bed there’s every chance you’ll find dad, grandma or granddad having a quiet go on their own.

If you can’t stand the thought of a trip to Westfield, Lego is easily available online. The Christmas competition is easy to enter: go to the party section of the Lego webs, register an account – and enter your contact details for a chance to win an in-store party.
