Can you help police identify this man?

A MAN WITH a crossbow is not what you expect to see in sleepy Alfred Street, E3. But that is what one member of the public encountered between midday and 12.30pm on Monday, 21st October.

The member of the public approached the man with the crossbow, who became verbally aggressive and then went away, leaving the member of the public badly shaken. Fortunately no one was hurt in this incident, but police would like to find the man with the crossbow: they believe this may stop a further incident, which might have a worse outcome. Police are keeping an open mind on whether this incident may be connected to two crossbow attacks which took place in Shoreditch in March.

Detective Inspector Nikky Hardy said, “We are now releasing an image of a man we wish to speak to in connection with this incident. We would urge everyone to look at the photo and think about whether they recognise him or know where he might me.”

●Anyone who knows where the man with the crossbow is or who has any other information which may assist police is asked to contact them on 101, quoting reference 245/31OCT. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111 and give information anonymously.
