ACHIEVEMENT in education was high on the agenda as the London Enterprise Academy held its student awards ceremony. The annual awards day is an eagerly anticipated event and this year was held at the Genesis Cinema in Mile End.
Keynote speaker Professor Shafi Ahmed spoke about being ready for AI, the Metaverse, and ChatGTP, all of which will transform education. Guests in attendance included Baroness Pola Manzila Uddin, Borough Speaker Jahed Choudhury, his predecessor Shafi Ahmed, Tower Hamlets Labour Group Leader Sirajul Islam, and Emdad Rahman MBE.
Pupils were recognised and rewarded for their achievements in education, civic responsibilities and excellence in sport.
London Enterprise Academy Headteacher Ashid Ali commented, “Today is about celebrating the achievements of our pupils and our dedication to our young people. Education is an important part of a much bigger picture at London Enterprise Academy, and we work extremely hard to ensure that our students not only graduate with excellent grades but also as first class citizens.
To this end our pupils share food with people facing hardship, clean the neighbouring streets and share books and toiletries. I thank all my staff for the tremendous work they put in to help the children. Well done to everybody and I wish you all a very good summer break.
